Great article on object pooling. I noticed the use of it in the FFilmation iso engine and it seems like a very efficient way to handle a large pool of objects.

Shane, thanks so much for this. I was pointed here to consider using Object Pooling for a particle study I just posted on my own blog (http://bit.ly/auBGOF), and I'm going to have to give this some serious thought.

Thanks so much for the great overview and examples. I'll definitely be following your work in the future.

Yeh thanks, the next version of Tweensy which I should get to soon will allow for movement with physics maths rather than just easing equations. So this was taken out of the current release 0.2 because it was still too naive for release.

hi Shane,

thank you so much :). Checked out and played with TweensyFX today,
very nice.

I will certainly get the swc to take a closer look at object pooling and your example, great article btw,

Jeff.

Hi Jeff,
Thanks for letting me know about that. The class you mention was apart of Tweensy alpha but was removed for the 0.2 release. I have updated the repository with a SWC for Tweensy and the Bouncey class so you should be able to publish the ObjectPool.fla to publish the same swf as seen on my blog post.
